And that’s a wrap! The 2024 edition of Let’s Grow! Walmart Marketplace Sellers Summit is now history. The event brought together Walmart Marketplace sellers, industry leaders, and solution providers for three days of networking, learning, and growth opportunities. Here’s a short recap of what we experienced during the summit. Spoiler alert: we’re definitely going to become a platinum partner once again next year!
Q2 was a fruitful period for Walmart Marketplace in the U.S., as it saw its sales grow 32 percent, surpassing global e-commerce sales growth rate (21 percent). It doesn’t surprise us that Walmart plans to strengthen its ties with sellers further on.
McMillon’s session was one of the few sessions we had a chance to join during The Let’s Grow! 2024 Sellers Summit, held from August 26-28 at San Francisco’s Moscone Center. As a platinum partner, our Base.com team had a tight agenda for all three days, from a series of meetings and catch-ups to hosting our own on-stage presentation.
But it was also a pivotal event for our team, as it was the very first time we publicly presented our rebranded system. We got to know a ton of sellers who were kind enough to share with us the issues they are facing in the ecommerce space. The interest in our product – the best e-commerce operating system for high-volume businesses – was palpable, with many attendees expressing genuine curiosity about how our platform can streamline their operations and drive growth. Sellers are clearly looking for new, more noble ways to onboard new sales channels, which is exactly what we offer at Base.com
