Base enables listing eBay multi-variant offers, which allow buyers to choose a product variant (e.g., size or color) when making a purchase. The possibilities for listing products with variants are as follows:

  • each variant of the main product can be listed as a separate offer;
  • a product from the warehouse with variants can be listed in one multi-variant offer, where the customer chooses the variant (e.g., size) during purchase;
  • multiple main products from the warehouse (without variants) can be listed within one multi-variant offer.

Listing variants in separate offers

Example: The product Balloon 45 cm in the warehouse has 3 color variants – yellow, red, and green. We want to list each variant in separate auctions.

Listing a multi-variant offer for a product with variants in the storage

Example 1 – offer with one variant: Product Red stilettos. The product has 6 variants in the warehouse: size 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41. Below we describe listing an offer with variants for the buyer to choose from.

  1. In the eBay → Listing section, select the eBay account and the storage from which you want to list products.
  2. Select the products to list.
  3. Click List selected (form) to go to the listing form.
  4. Check auction settings such as offer duration, seller data, etc.
  5. On the form, click the Variants button to display available variants of the selected product.
  6. Select the product variants you want to add to the multi-variant offer.
  7. Click List multivariant auction.listing-multivariant-offer-on-ebay-through-base
  8. The products will be added to the listing form as offer variants. Specify which parameter distinguishes the individual variants – without indicating the distinguishing parameter in the variants, the offer will not be listed (in the example, the size parameter).
  9. Click the orange List at eBay button above the listing form.

If the parameter that distinguishes your variants is not in the given eBay category – add your own parameter in the empty window and specify its value for all products.
For example: you’re selling size 39 stilettos in three variants: with a block heel, stiletto heel, and wedge heel. You want to list an offer with variants related to the heel type, but by default there is no such parameter. Add the Heel type parameter in the empty window, and assign the appropriate value to each variant: block, stiletto, wedge.

Example 2 – auction with two variants: The product Boots has 12 variants in the warehouse regarding color and size: brown 36-41 and black 36-41. In this example, we present listing an offer with two variants for the buyer to choose from – color and size.

Proceed identically as in Example 1, but when filling in the variant parameters, you need to fill in two distinguishing parameters – in this case, it will be the color and size fields.

Listing separate products within one offer with variants

Example: 3 products: light blue shirt size S, light blue shirt size M, light blue shirt size L. Below we describe listing them in one offer with three variants – sizes.

  1. In the eBay → Listing section, select the eBay account and the storage from which you want to list products.
  2. Select the products you want to list within one multi-variant offer.
  3. Click List selected (form) to go to the offer listing form.
  4. The selected products will appear on the form, but prepared for listing in separate offers. To create an offer with variants, click V in the upper right corner of the form for the first product.
  5. Select the product you want to add as a variant and click Add product as a variant to the selected auction.adding-product-as-variant-to-the-selected-auction-on-ebay-through-base
  6. Repeat this action for each of the subsequent products until all the products you want to list appear as variants of one of the products.
  7. Go to the Parameters tab for each variant and select the distinguishing parameter. For the described example, it will be size. If such a parameter is not available by default in the category in which you want to list the offer, you must add your own parameter in the empty window.
  8. If necessary, adjust the offer name and settings in the Data tab.
  9. Click the orange List at eBay button to send the offer to the marketplace.
