In Base’s inventory, a manufacturer can be assigned to a product. The manufacturer database is shared across all inventories.

Setting a manufacturer is useful when:

  • you want to filter the product list by manufacturer;
  • you want to use the manufacturer’s name/image in a marketplace offer template;
  • you want to automatically fill in the manufacturer parameter if required by the marketplace.

Adding a manufacturer

To add a manufacturer, go to Products → Settings → Manufacturers → +Add manufacturer and fill in:

  • Manufacturer’s name,
  • Manufacturer’s photos – from your computer or via link (optional).

The manufacturer is visible on the product card. Here you can change the default manufacturer assigned to the product.

If the manufacturer is required in a given marketplace category and the mapping rules have been set up accordingly, this field will be filled in automatically.

To list products from a specific manufacturer, select the desired products filtered on the product list, then choose Operations → Create marketplace offers.
