Seller Flex Integration Guide

Migration from Other Integrators (Connector Change)

If you’re using another integrator and want to switch to Base, follow this Connector Change Steps:

Before Processing Request

  • Process all pending orders on your current connector
  • Set inventory to zero on the old connector only after completing order processing
  • Clean-up any leftover sync tasks or dependencies to avoid future conflicts

What You Need to Share with Amazon

Send these details to the Amazon team:

  • Seller Name
  • PCID / MCID (Merchant ID)
  • Old Connector Name
  • New Connector (Base)
  • Business Justification (mention integration with Base.com)

Timelines

  • Requests are processed once per week
  • TAT (Turnaround Time): 1 business day after Amazon receives the completed request
  • Best to raise on Monday or Tuesday, as Amazon teams are unavailable over the weekend

Setting Up a New Seller Flex Site Code

If you are not currently using any integrator and your site code does not start with X…, here’s how to request a new Flex code:

Step-by-Step

  1. Determine Your Site Type:

    • Is it a Small Parcel or Heavy & Bulky (H&B) site? This affects which template to fill
  2. Fill Templates:

    • Use the correct Amazon sheet + Google form
    • Reach out to Base Support if unsure which template applies
  3. Wait for Approval:

    • Amazon typically takes 2–3 weeks to process site code requests (when lead intake is active)
  4. Training & Verification:

    • You’ll receive an email to complete Seller Flex training and upload 4M readiness proofs
  5. Location ID Setup:

    • Once training is done, Amazon will share Location IDs with the seller and Base
    • If you’re already live on Easyship, request an additional Location ID via Afroz at [email protected]

Integrating Flex Site in Base

Once you have both Location IDs:

  1. Go to Base Integrations → Add Channel → Amazon
  2. In Orders Section, toggle Smart Connect API = Yes
  3. Go to Warehouse Mapping, add warehouses for each Location ID
  4. Order Status Mapping:
“Confirmed” → Sent to Amazon after order fetch
“Ship Label Generated” → Triggered after label creation
  5. Shipping Integration: Select Amazon Flex. (Note: If the merchant is on SellerFlex, they’re supposed to get both Seller Flex and Easyship labels via ‘Amazon Seller Flex’ (aka Amazon Smart Connect) courier integration)
  6. Listing Management
  • Listings fulfilled via FBA also qualify as part of Seller Flex
  • When importing listings from Amazon, ensure you also pull FBA listings

Mandatory Dry Run: Before Go-Live

A successful dry run is compulsory before full integration. It includes:

1. Inventory Sync

  • Choose 2–3 low-selling SKUs with zero inventory on Amazon FC or Flex
  • Sync from Base → Amazon
  • Verify sync on Seller Central

2. Order Sync

  • Place a test order on Amazon
  • Wait for Shipment ID generation (can take up to 48 hours)
  • If the order doesn’t reflect in Base after 48 hours:
    • Ask the seller to raise a Case ID
    • Escalate Case ID to Amazon POC

3. Return Sync

  • Test a return flow
  • Verify return visibility and sync in Base

Once all 3 dry run steps are completed:

  • Create a summary sheet
  • Share it with the Amazon team for approval

Only after a successful dry run can you go live with the full catalogue
