Listing Amazon offers

Before you start listing offers, make sure you have completed the module configuration. This will allow you to list offers with just a few clicks (most fields will be filled in automatically). This is particularly useful when creating new Amazon offers.

General information

  • There are two ways to list offers on Amazon:
    • creating a new offer – allows you to add a product to Amazon that doesn’t yet exist in the marketplace catalog. You will need to specify the offer parameters;
    • linking to an existing offer (via ASIN/EAN/ISBN) – the offer listing form does not require filling in parameters.
  • The Amazon offer listing form allows you to list on multiple different markets simultaneously (e.g., Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr, and Amazon.es).
  • There are no offer templates on Amazon.
  • Amazon shipping price lists are configured on the marketplace side. In the Amazon → Shipping templates → Refresh shipping templates section, you can download them into the system.
  • Amazon offers have no duration. A listed Amazon offer will appear in BaseLinker in the Offer management section under the In queue tab. It should reach Amazon within about an hour of clicking List offers due to Amazon’s API listing mechanisms.
  • The Amazon offer is checked for potential errors during listing, but not all can be detected immediately. Some auctions will be marked as erroneous by Amazon only during offer sending. An erroneous offer will go to the Errors tab in Offer management
  • Amazon offer parameters depend on the product type, not the category.

Listing Amazon offers

Creating a new offer

  1. In the Amazon → Listing section, select the Listing form, indicate the products you want to list, and click List selected (form)
  2. In the newly displayed window, choose the listing type Display form in new offer creation mode (with your own description, images, etc.) and the markets where the offer should appear. The listing form will also allow linking the offer to a product already existing in the Amazon catalog (individually, for each product separately).

  3. In the new window, in the Data tab, select the product type, category, shipping template, and condition (if you haven’t configured default offer settings and/or the data is incorrect).
  4. Fill in the required parameters for the selected product type (Parameters tab). To display all available parameters, select Show all parameters. Check the images, description, and key product features (so-called bullet points).
  5. Click List offers. Done!

Remember that most fields can be filled in automatically if you properly configure the system beforehand.

Linking to an existing product

  1. In the Amazon → Listing section, select the Listing form, indicate the products you want to list, and click List selected (form)
  2. In the newly displayed window, choose one of the offer matching types Associate with existing ASIN/EAN/ISBN. The options are as follows:
    • Search for matching Amazon offers (according to EAN) 2 the form will display all offers for the given EAN, allowing you to manually select the offer you’re interested in;
    • Search for matching Amazon offers (according to EAN) and match if only one offer was found – the system will search and automatically match the found offer to the product (if only one is found) and display all possible ones if more than one is found;
    • Search for matching Amazon offers (according to EAN) and match the first found offer from the list – the system will search and automatically match the first offer found;
    • Don’t search for matching offers (they will be matched manually) – in the listing form, it will be possible to manually search for offers. The listing form will also allow changing the listing type and creating a new product on Amazon.

  3. Select the markets where the offer should appear and click List selected
  4. Depending on the offer matching method you chose at the beginning, match offers to products or just check the matches that the system made automatically.
  5. Select the Shipping template and Condition (if default values are not configured).
  6. Click List offers – and you’re done!

Multi-variant offers

To list a multi-variant offer on Amazon, you must have a product with variants in your inventory.

You can read information about multi-variant products in our article: Variants.

  1. In order for the differentiation parameters to be available for selection, the listing must first be put into creation mode if the product is not found in the Amazon catalogue.
  2. In the main product, “Parentage level” and “Child relationship type” must be completed. Please remember not to delete the data i.e. EAN, Price and quantity for the main product.
    For each product it is necessary to complete the VariationTheme, VariationGroupId and Variation Parentage parameters.
  • VariationData Parentage – select whether the product should be a parent or variant (parent/child) product;
  • VariationTheme – differentiation parameter;
  • VariationGroupId – the ID of the multi-variation group (should be the same for all products within one listing).

In the parameters, the field “VariationTheme” will be automatically filled in with the selected option and all offers within one group will have the field “VariationGroupId” filled in, this is the group ID by which Base combines the offers into a variant group.

If you want to list offers as variants with products that are not variants, the “VariationGroupId” field must be manually filled in with the same ID that was generated.

Variants as separate listings

If you want to list separate listings as variants:

  • then the same parent SKU must be entered in the “child”.
  • Completion of the EAN code is not required.
