Question 1

What is the best order management software for ecommerce sellers just starting out?

Accepted Answer

For sellers processing under 500 orders a day, platforms like EasyEcom or Zoho Inventory offer lower-cost entry points and faster implementation. As order volume and COD complexity grow in India, a more India-specific option among the best order management software for ecommerce becomes worth evaluating.

Question 2

How much does the best order management software for ecommerce typically cost?

Accepted Answer

Only 3 of the 10 platforms in this guide publish pricing publicly. Zoho Inventory offers a free entry tier, Extensiv Order Manager uses fixed pricing tiers, and the rest require a custom quote based on order volume and channel count.

Question 3

How long does it take to implement a new OMS?

Accepted Answer

Implementation time in this guide ranges from under a week to 16 weeks. Ecommerce-native, cloud-based options among the best order management software for ecommerce typically go live in 1-4 weeks, while full ERP systems like SAP Business One generally take 8-16 weeks.

Question 4

Does the best order management software for ecommerce need to handle COD orders specifically?

Accepted Answer

For any seller operating in India, yes. This is one of the clearest dividing lines among the best order management software for ecommerce: platforms without pincode-level COD risk scoring confirm orders with a high probability of failed delivery, absorbing outbound freight cost that cannot be recovered.

Question 5

What G2 rating should I look for when choosing an OMS?

Accepted Answer

Every platform in this guide with sufficient review volume sits between 4.3 and 4.7 out of 5, so a rating above 4.3 is a reasonable baseline filter. Beyond that threshold, review volume, implementation time, and order volume fit matter more than marginal differences in star rating.
