Question 1

What is the most important thing to look for in an OMS for ecommerce brands in India?

Accepted Answer

The most important thing is operational performance under pressure, specifically during peak weeks when order volumes spike and manual workflows that seemed adequate at normal volume start consuming hours that the operation cannot afford. A genuine OMS for ecommerce brands in India must deliver measurable efficiency gains during high-demand periods, not just better visibility during normal ones. Real Vision's packaging time reduction from 6 to 7 hours to 2 hours during peak weeks is the standard to benchmark against.

Question 2

How does Base.com's automatic actions capability reduce manual work?

Accepted Answer

Base.com's automatic actions are configured triggers that execute defined process steps, order status updates, task routing, and workflow progression, without requiring manual input each time they occur. For Real Vision, this removed entire categories of repetitive coordination tasks from the team's daily workload. The team's time was redirected from process maintenance to fulfilment execution. This is the specific capability that differentiates an OMS for ecommerce brands in India that improves operations from one that merely digitises them.

Question 3

How does Base.com help brands scale without operational chaos?

Accepted Answer

Base.com's configured logic applies identically at low and high order volumes. The coordination overhead of additional volume is absorbed by the system's automation layer rather than transferred to the team as additional manual work. Real Vision gained a fulfilment operation that handled demand spikes as designed rather than straining under them, demonstrating that an OMS for ecommerce brands in India can break the direct relationship between more volume and more operational strain.

Question 4

How quickly did Real Vision see results after implementing Base.com?

Accepted Answer

The packaging time reduction, from 6 to 7 hours to 2 hours, was experienced immediately after implementation. Base.com's workflow automation delivered measurable efficiency gains from the first peak week after go-live. This reflects a core principle of what the right OMS for ecommerce brands in India should deliver: not a gradual improvement over months of optimisation, but a structural change in operational performance that is visible from day one.

Question 5

What makes Base.com different from other OMS platforms available in India?

Accepted Answer

Base.com differentiates by delivering operational performance improvement rather than just operational visibility. For Real Vision, the value was not in better dashboards or cleaner reporting; it was in 4 hours recovered every peak day, a packaging workflow that ran in a third of its previous time, and a scalable fulfilment operation that could absorb higher volumes without proportional increases in team strain. An OMS for ecommerce brands in India earns its value in the outcomes it produces during the hardest operational periods, and Real Vision's results define exactly what that looks like in practice.
